This Black History Month I’ve partnered with @walmartcanada to design a new illustration “My Crown”.

Creating this illustration was not only an honour but a full circle moment for me as a Black Artist.
Our hair is our crown and it is a significant part of the Black experience in so many different ways with a lot of historical context behind it.

I wanted to create something that not only would be special to me but would speak to many different Black Canadians.

You can find “My Crown” T-shirt’s and Tote Bags for a limited time in select Walmart stores across Canada. Proceeds from each shirt sold will go toward @ceetoronto for workforce development and education to create visible career opportunities for Black youth to achieve financial prosperity and a high quality of life for themselves and their families.
