People always asking me “why and what made me start calling myself Huey P Newton!?” Well when Eye woke up @ 19 and started making music Eye originally call my self Mr. K.I.D but thought that name was just ok but not good enough. Eye was already making conscious music and so many people would compare me to the old Kanye, @nas and @j.cole feel but would tell me your music more revolutionary and gangster but they like it lol so eye started researching people from my little hometown Monroe, Louisiana and came across Bill Russell, Brady James, and then Eye saw Huey P Newton. Eye started researching him and all the info Eye was taking in was just mind blowing because we have so many similarities, both had hard life’s, came from the same hometown, and to make things even crazier Eye was saying stuff in my music that he was actually preaching and Eye never heard of him a day in my life. It’s sad that my own hometown doesn’t even acknowledge this mans greatest but eye refuse to let all his hard work go down the drain... Huey was on to something great but let his weakness and drugs get the best of him but he did start a spark that will keep his legacy to continue through me. Eye have been helping the community and youth for years with bare minimum support but have been creating changes locally. Eye don’t post and brag about everything Eye do because it’s not about that at the end of the day and the funny thing is for years Eye have been helping the community and youth for free and haven’t charged one dime for the Info eye give out and even do some shows for free just to show love to the people. Everything happens for a reason and it was a reason why Eye was in the trap and came across this man on my computer screen... eye don’t believe in coincidences and eye do believe in reincarnation...
