Excited to announce that my first feature-length documentary as a director, THE TWISTER will premiere on NETFLIX March 19th! It’s been a journey finding a unique way into a natural disaster movie, and I am so proud of where we ended up. Our characters are such special people that all tell their stories with authenticity and bravery. Cut by the visionary @nic.zimmermann and made with @rawtvltd where I began my journey in documentary filmmaking.

Synopsis: Set against a backdrop of end-of-the-world predictions, this coming-of-age film is told from the perspective of a group of young people growing up in Joplin, Missouri. They encounter the extreme power of Mother Nature when a rare EF-5, monster tornado hits their hometown on high school graduation day. In the fierce 200 mph winds of the twister, they discover the power of their resilience as they fight for survival - each with a transformative story spurred by their experiences of that day. The film features never-before-seen footage that takes us into the eye of the storm.
