“The Unveiling”
My first self portrait!! I feel as though I’m on a journey of healing and emergence. The torn paper symbolizes layers of depression, anxiety and trauma, barriers that obscure my true self. The shift from grayscale to vibrant color reflects my movement from darkness to self-acceptance. I’m ripping away all those layers to reveal the beautiful, loving, resilient person I’ve always been.
