After two months of dedicated work by an incredible team, the premiere of My Disappeared Uncle is finally happening today.

I’m truly grateful to be part of this project, which brings a documentary story to life, delving into the labyrinths of memory through the past of a Chinese refugee in Denmark.

It’s a complex and challenging production. Yesterday, we had our first test audience, and it seemed to resonate—though at this stage, it’s already difficult to see it with fresh eyes. But today marks the premiere, and that’s exhilarating.
