🎭We are very pleased to have supported and accompanied the Chronofest theatre festival this year, which took place from May 28 to June 7 across various stages in Yerevan.
The festival opened with the performance “Die Scham” (“Shame”), a collaboration between Armenian and German artists.

With Chronofest, the city became a vibrant meeting point for contemporary theatre and performance - a place where artists from different contexts come together and open up new perspectives on stage and society.
Initiated by the theatre platform Chronotop, the festival brings together a wide range of artistic formats - from performative and documentary works to experimental and interactive productions.

Particularly exciting is the focus on exchange and shared experience: theatre is not only presented here, but collectively reimagined. Artists and audiences meet on equal footing, question social issues, and develop new forms of expression.
For us, it is especially inspiring to see how international collaboration and local voices come together in such formats, creating sustainable networks.

✨Rimini Protokoll in Yerevan!

How can a global climate conference be staged as an interactive format with 600 participants? How can untrained spectators step into the roles of CEOs and lobbyists in a large-scale reenactment of the World Economic Forum in Davos? And how can global weapons trafficking be embodied through immersive scenography combined with a multiplayer video experience?

Four members of Rimini Protokoll will travel to Armenia for a research visit and on April 22nd Goethe Institut Jerewan in partnership with Xronotope & hosq is warmly inviting to a lecture of Rimini Protokoll at National Center for Aesthetics.

Helgard Haug, Stefan Kaegi and Daniel Wetzel founded the theatre-label Rimini Protokoll in 2000 in Germany and have since worked in different constellations under this name. Work by work they have expanded the means of documentary theatre to create new perspectives on reality.
Rimini Protokoll often develop their stage-works, interventions, performative installations and audio plays together with experts who have gained their knowledge and skills beyond the theatre. Furthermore, they like to transpose rooms or social structures into theatrical formats. Many of their works feature interactivity and a playful use of technology.

📆On 22 April at 7 pm, Rimini Protokoll will present and comment on short videos from their recent documentary projects.

Join us for an insightful evening of discussion and reflection on contemporary documentary practices!

After two months of dedicated work by an incredible team, the premiere of My Disappeared Uncle is finally happening today.

I’m truly grateful to be part of this project, which brings a documentary story to life, delving into the labyrinths of memory through the past of a Chinese refugee in Denmark.

It’s a complex and challenging production. Yesterday, we had our first test audience, and it seemed to resonate—though at this stage, it’s already difficult to see it with fresh eyes. But today marks the premiere, and that’s exhilarating. taken in Copenhagen by @artefactpage
