Yesterday we launched a petition calling for the former Russian House in Berlin to be turned into an art centre for cultures and communities that have suffered under the Russian regime.

For those who don’t know, the Russian House in Berlin is a gigantic building right in the very centre of the city. For decades it was a place where propaganda flourished and was broadcasted for years instead of art. Moreover, under the guise of “promoting Russian culture”, it served as a hub for FSB and GRU operatives. Russia invested billions into this system.

And now, this place is closing.

Together with dozens of artists, curators, researchers, theatre professionals, writers, poets, directors, actors, musicians and other people working in the creative industries, we have launched a petition calling for this building to be handed over to us.

What are the chances that we will actually get this building? Almost none. And we are under no illusions about that. But this is our symbolic gesture. To cry out loud: we exist.

Please solidarize with us. Sing the petition and share it. Link in bio.

🎭We are very pleased to have supported and accompanied the Chronofest theatre festival this year, which took place from May 28 to June 7 across various stages in Yerevan.
The festival opened with the performance “Die Scham” (“Shame”), a collaboration between Armenian and German artists.

With Chronofest, the city became a vibrant meeting point for contemporary theatre and performance - a place where artists from different contexts come together and open up new perspectives on stage and society.
Initiated by the theatre platform Chronotop, the festival brings together a wide range of artistic formats - from performative and documentary works to experimental and interactive productions.

Particularly exciting is the focus on exchange and shared experience: theatre is not only presented here, but collectively reimagined. Artists and audiences meet on equal footing, question social issues, and develop new forms of expression.
For us, it is especially inspiring to see how international collaboration and local voices come together in such formats, creating sustainable networks.
