Carolyn Kelly

These illustrations were created for issue 34 of Lovewant Magazine. I drew each of the bags twice. First very technically + then again once I had the ‘driven the road once’ and was used to it this version was looser, full of energy + more gestural. Final stitches were sewn into the soft tissue of the paper using an old sewing machine belonging to my grandma. I love drawing with my hands and the sewing machine to add sound and texture to the process.
