@lovewant #34 Featuring @loewe @ckmunny

@loewe stands as a vibrant testament to the intricate dance between fashion and the arts, like weaving creativity into the very fabric of its identity. It doesn’t simply adorn; it engages. The brand embraces the notion that luxury isn’t solely about opulence but about the richness of experience, the narratives that art can evoke.

As Georgia O’Keeffe once said, “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way.” Loewe’s commitment to the arts acknowledges that true creativity often emerges from the depths of personal expression. By inviting artists to infuse their work into collections, Loewe blurs the lines between gallery and runway, making a bold statement about the interconnectedness of creativity. It’s an enduring love letter to the power of imagination, reminding us that beauty is found not just in the finished product but in the stories, struggles, and triumphs that shape it.

These illustrations were created for issue 34 of Lovewant Magazine. I drew each of the bags twice. First very technically + then again once I had the ‘driven the road once’ and was used to it this version was looser, full of energy + more gestural. Final stitches were sewn into the soft tissue of the paper using an old sewing machine belonging to my grandma. I love drawing with my hands and the sewing machine to add sound and texture to the process.
