When I say we I mean God, my amazing clients, my students, my UD girlies, my family & friends! A win for me is a win for all of us! UD Hair is not only a business… but my God given calling, I have faced so many trials and tribulations on this journey especially in the last year and I’ve wanted to walk away so many times but God always brings me back because his plans are greater than mine!

This award is an answer to a constant prayer around my self doubt and fear of failing it is confirmation that I am on the right path and following Gods will for me! Crazy part is that this is just the beginning!!!! I have so many plans, so many ideas that God has put on my heart and with him by my side they will come to life! 🙏🏾 here’s to more all nighters, forgetting to eat, no social life & overworking… it’s all worth it because I get to build my dream business whilst living in my purpose

That’s all we have until you’re slipping into that GORGEOUS little black dress to celebrate Christmas with your nearest & dearest.

While it’s on its way to you, there’s something you need to know. 

The strategy to losing 10lbs+ before Christmas isn’t actually as hard as you think.

But what makes it IMPOSSIBLE, is skipping these 3 mindset hacks before you get started. 

1. Make faster decisions

You’ve been wanting to lose 10lbs+ this entire year. Nothing’s going to change about that apart from how quickly you make the decision to start. 

Stop waiting for another week. Until half-term is over. Until January. Move. 

2. Drop the perfectionist mindset 

Drop that “I’ll wait until I can give 100%” sh*t. Understand this – your 100% looks different every day, week, month. If you’re waiting for one specific type of 100% (when you have a clear diary, more motivated, not injured, have less stress), guess what’s going to happen when that type of 100% shifts again?

You’ll re-gain the weight.

3. Don’t ACTUALLY make the goal: “lose 10lbs in 10 weeks”.  Make the goal: build the knowledge, lifestyle, and an identity where being overweight becomes IMPOSSIBLE. 

If you just needed a calorie target and a workout plan, you would have lost the weight and kept it off already by now.

The overlooked jobs that keep the world moving. Yesterday i was sitting in the back of an uber and randomly thought about how underappreciated that job can be. this person had just taken me from point A to point B, and probably spent the next few hours doing the exact same thing for dozens of other people. without that convenience, would some of us even leave the house as much as we do? I used to think about the same thing in school when a bathroom would get destroyed by some kids “messing around.” somebody had to clean that. a mother, a father, someone who probably took pride in keeping that place clean, only for their work to be ruined for no reason. There are so many jobs like that. firefighters who run toward emergencies most of us would run away from. vets you might not think about until your pet suddenly needs help. window cleaners hanging 20 or 30 stories above the ground just so the view from your apartment stays clean. sanitation workers, nurses, custodians, mechanics, crossing guards, transit workers, the list could go on forever. I think we get so used to things working that we stop thinking about the people making them work. clean streets, working elevators, food showing up, safe buildings, getting home at night, all of it starts to feel automatic when it really isn’t. And I want to make it very clear this post isn’t about saying one job matters more than another. i just wanted to show some love to the people doing work that can easily go unnoticed even though so much of our everyday life depends on it. If you have one of those jobs, thank you. you might not always get reminded of how important what you do is, but everybody really does have a piece of this huge puzzle that keeps the world moving. #sarcasm #job #respect #world #life
