Finally got to surf Bells (big Bells😜) this morning for the first time.
It’s been something I’d been wanting to do for years.
There were still a few stray 8ft+ sets leftover from Sundays huge swell to keep the adrenaline pumping.
I hadn’t surfed for over 6 weeks due to our Tasmanian caravanning sojourn, so I was stoked to get two really good waves out there…before my lack of fitness triumphed 😒
As a bonus, there was the good vibe in the uncrowded lineup, and most guys were on guns or step-ups.
Local shaper Matt Shay @palehorsesurfboards was ripping on his single fin mal.
The annual Rip Curl Easter Pro starts on 18 April and most of the contest infrastructure is in place.
