Cap10K 2025 🏃🏽- Recap

Crossed the line in 49:40 (8:00 min/mile pace) at the Statesman Cap10K, and I couldn’t be happier with how it played out. It was 27°F at the start, but once we got going, the cold faded and it was all about rhythm. I kept it controlled the first half, tackling those early hills with patience. Around mile 4, I found my gear—picked up the pace and started passing people. Mile 6 was my fastest, and I closed with a strong final push down the stretch. Negative split, solid pacing, and felt strong when it counted most.

Grateful for the chilly start, the hills that tested me, and the reminder that the training is working. On to the next!
