But kartel been said in his song "Comet is coming" in 2024 to get "Addi Ina ya city that's a couple Milli" but the Burnaboys and the Wizkid charges that and no problem.. But Kartel can charge that cause Barclay center is the proof tickets were $1500 minimum $250 and still sold out Barclays.. So what are you saying?

Artists can charge wah dem waan but end of the day you have to find promoters to pay that fee. If the promoters are lined up willing to pay top dollars then it’s a good look. However if promoters switch gears like how clash promoters did, then the music will be in trouble.

Consumers are moving more to one off experiences and willing to pay for this privilege, premium artists will have to reduce the number of shows they do, thus commanding a higher performance fee. Simple Economics of supply and demand. As for lower tier artists with less hits or fanbases, put out hit records or deliver some USP at their shows that attracts a new audience to justify their fee.

There is another dimension added to money. We have some artist that can perform outside JA and command a decent fee. However these same artists want the equivalent fee to perform in JA and may not have the catalogue to back it up. Agree with everything you say here
