Today I am 27 years old yaaaay

I have spent the week in ny with my lover, friends and family, celebrating the Assembly film ny premiere, dancing, eating, laughing, crying and most importantly allowing myself to step into my womanhood. I thank the community of this city for seeing and loving me unabashedly.

My trip ends tomorrow and I will go back home to my place of birth Minneapolis, where ICE is raiding restaurants on Lake Street, the air quality is so terrible due to wildfires that being outside is a health risk, and the overwhelming white population engulfs any possibility of change.

On the flip side I will also go home to a gorgeous new studio space, with lots of work waiting for me there. More on that later. Gratitude.

Anyways I’m about to hit up Riis beach with my ppl and catch a vibe by the water because what the fuck else is there to do in this moment
