“STOP COMPARING YOUR BEST TO OUR WORST!” 🔥

Dave Anderson challenges the way Black Americans are sometimes compared to African and Caribbean immigrants.

He argues that when people point to immigrant educational and economic success while repeating negative stereotypes about Black Americans, they’re ignoring a major part of the conversation.

**WHO IS ACTUALLY BEING COMPARED TO WHO?**

Dave raises questions about immigration selection, the size of the Black American middle class, and the historical experiences that shaped different communities.

Then he delivers one of the most powerful lines from the interview:

**“If you can’t talk about how your ancestors fled, you don’t get to talk about how my ancestors bled.”**

Is comparing successful immigrant populations to stereotypes about Black Americans an unfair comparison?

And can we acknowledge different historical experiences without turning the conversation into a competition?

Sunday insights:
For a long time I believed we had to earn our worth. Climb higher, push harder, and maybe then we would finally be enough. But for who?

It is an exhausting way to live. If that is all there is. You never quite arrive.
The thing that truly sets us free is finding home.

That we are found in Christ. Found exactly as we are, mess and all. The eternal mystery - that the Almighty might call us sons and daughters. But first we must be made whole. Forgiven. Restored. Without that, how can we have ‘Immanuel’ - God with us.

We do not have to become impressive for God to love us. We do not have to summit anything. We simply have to bend our knee long enough to accept a gift we could never have earned in a thousand lifetimes.

This truth changed how I see everyone else too. We are children of God. All flawed. All needing his mercy. It makes us gentler, slower to judge, quicker to forgive.

We are so hard on ourselves, and so hard on each other. The love of Christ I have found to be the medicine for both. (Have you read: The Greatest Story Ever Told?)

Elon Musk has quietly financed a major canvassing operation to help Republican candidates in the midterm elections that rivals his effort in the 2024 presidential election, according to federal filings posted Thursday night. To monitor the trillionaire’s overall influence on November’s elections, WIRED created a live-updating tracker that pulls federal filings daily.

The Musk-aligned America PAC has spent $76.7 million in the third quarter of 2026, $35.8 million of which has been spent on a field operation to drive turnout among President Donald Trump's core base across all seven Senate battleground states and a number of House races, the filings show.

That compares with the roughly $45 million America PAC had spent on putting together a field operation at the same point in the 2024 cycle, when the super PAC effectively ran the vast majority of canvassing for Trump's presidential campaign.
