getting cancer was not on my 2025 bingo card but yolo 🥰
I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) on the 11th of March this year, after months of random pains and unexplained fatigue. I’ve spent over 60 nights in hospital, lost my hair, nearly died from a liver reaction to the chemo, had to regain muscle to walk without a wheelchair and so much more.
Although it’s been a tricky few months, without my mum, dad and joel I wouldn’t be here. I never spent a night in hospital alone, my dad was there to shave my head to relieve the pain, Joel was patiently there to help me walk again, and my beautiful mum has given taken me to every hospital appointment even if there’s 3 in 1 day.
I am so beyond grateful for my mum, dad and joel for bending over backwards for me anytime I need it. I cannot thank them enough. And for my beautiful friends always checking in and coming over so I never feel alone, especially Mickey, Leila, Des, Jess, Indi and Bernice.
My treatment isn’t over and I’ve still got a long way to go, but I am so fortunate to be in a position where I can say I’m in remission and day by day getting stronger and closer to the finish line.
I guess the reason for this post is so that if you see me out bald with steroid moon face MIND UR BUSINESS nah jks. I just wanted to share a little update, and truly thank the family members that have been there. 🤍
