Be yourself, no matter what.
Some will adore you, and some will hate everything about you.
But who cares? It’s your life.
Make the most of it.

Thanks @betterbreadtv for always giving me the opportunity to do so 🙏🏽

12 months ago, I had what I can only describe as a brain fart of an idea… 😂

How do we solve one of the biggest problems cigar smokers have?

Not the cigar itself… but what happens after you smoke one — especially for everyone else around you! 😂

So began a 12-month journey to create a natural cigar smoke eliminator.

It took 8 months of searching, testing and working with a scientist to finally develop the perfect, closely guarded secret recipe. Then came the bottles, packaging, branding, design, messaging and everything else that goes into turning an idea into a real product.

There were plenty of moments where I wondered if this crazy idea would ever make it out of my head and into a bottle!

But with the amazing support of family and friends — you know who you are ❤️ — we finally made it.

And today, our very first pre-orders are being shipped! 🥳

From a random idea 12 months ago… to holding a finished product in our hands.

Pretty bloody cool feeling.

@savilenoir

Because sometimes the best ideas start as a brain fart. 😂💨

Thank you everyone!

ps… the real secret and no boundaries podcast will reveal how all this came about…. Look out for @rabbottholepodcast - recording mid October!

🇳🇮 Roll back to September 2024! 🇳🇮

Our first Devlin’s Black trip to Estelí, Nicaragua, and what an experience it was! 🇳🇮🌴🚬

We were incredibly fortunate to visit Oliva and Joya de Nicaragua, places you simply can’t just rock up to as a tourist. Being able to experience it all as a Devlin’s Black Member was a pretty special privilege.

This was the trip where we went behind the scenes and met the people who make it all happen, the owners, the farmers, the rollers and even the boxers!

They say a cigar can pass through more than 120 hands before it eventually reaches yours. After seeing the process firsthand, I can absolutely appreciate just how much work, skill and passion goes into every single cigar.

We got to learn about the different tobacco leaves, where they’re grown, how they’re fermented and aged, and most importantly… how the different leaves come together to create a blend.

And yes… we got to create our own cigar! 🤣

My blend: 6 × 60

🌿 Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano Criollo
🌿 Binder: Indonesian Sumatra
🌿 Ligero: Estelí
🌿 Viso: Condega
🌿 Seco: Estelí
🔥 Strength: Full

The blend delivers what I was hoping for: rich, spicy and earthy, with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, cedar, toasted nuts, leather and a long peppery finish.

And then came the hardest part…

Waiting. 😂

We finally received our cigars two years later, which explains why this post is only happening now!

So… how was it?

AMAZING. 🔥🔥🔥

There’s something pretty special about sitting down with a cigar that you personally designed two years earlier, knowing where the tobacco came from, meeting the people who grew and rolled it, and finally getting to smoke the finished product.

And who knows…

I may just have to create Toro Negro for personal consumption. 🐂🖤🤣

ps. all the photos of the trip is in my highlights on Instagram ❤️

After 40 years of growing up with the Santana family and engulfing myself with Ana’s Chilean Empanadas, I finally broke into her house whilst she was away and got the secret recipe 🤣🤣🤣

So today, Sandy and I attempted to make this amazing pastry and wahoooo!

¡Gracias por todo tu amor, mamá, y tu legado perdurará para siempre! ¡Viva Chile!
