HOW BIG IS YOUR BED? 🛏️

Most people are familiar with Twin, Full, Queen, and King beds, but the world of mattress sizes goes far beyond what you typically find in a furniture store. Some oversized beds are so massive they take up more space than an entire small bedroom.

Starting with a standard crib measuring 28 × 52 inches, bed sizes gradually increase through Twin, Twin XL, Full, and Queen before reaching the spacious California King and traditional King.

But that’s where things start getting interesting.

The Wyoming King measures an incredible 7 × 7 feet, offering a perfectly square sleeping surface with plenty of room to stretch out.

The Texas King takes things even further, measuring approximately 6 feet 8 inches wide and 8 feet 2 inches long. Its extraordinary length makes it an interesting option for taller sleepers who want more room than a traditional mattress provides.

And then there’s the Alaskan King.

Measuring a massive 9 × 9 feet, the Alaskan King offers an astonishing 81 square feet of sleeping space. That’s more than double the surface area of a standard King mattress. It’s large enough for multiple people to spread out comfortably, making it one of the most extravagant oversized mattress options available.

Of course, owning one of these enormous beds comes with challenges. You’ll need a significantly larger bedroom, specialty bedding, a custom bed frame, and potentially a much bigger budget.

While most people will never need anything larger than a Queen or King, these oversized mattresses show just how far luxury and comfort can go.

Which bed size do you currently sleep on, and would you ever upgrade to an Alaskan King?
