senior solo: she used to be mine
choreo: lauren blakeney thrailkill
oh gosh, where do i even begin. this year has been full of endless ups and downs, and this solo just encapsulates the idea of forgiving and forgetting the past. things happen, life happens. you’ll never be perfect, but there’s no reason to dwell on the past. sometimes you just have to let it go and move on. during my senior season, i took lots of time to look back and reflect on the past, and this solo just helped me realize that as much as i love the versions of me i have been, im ready to let her go and grow up. moving across the country by myself is slightly terrifying, but i am so excited for what is to come. thank you ms. lauren for allowing me the space to reflect and learn that growing up and moving forward isn’t a bad thing. while i will most definitely miss my friends and family, im ready for this new page in my story. i know that God is there to guide and protect me in this journey, so there really is no reason to worry <3
