Please join me at 3 pm on Saturday, July 26 for a performance, “Pass the Prop.”
Elaborating on the “adaptives” of Franz West, a set of clunky handmade props will be passed around by performers in a choreographed circle game.
Each of the clunky handmade props has several potential uses. For example, a megaphone doubles as a large hat.
As it progresses, the number and direction of props increases and the game becomes increasingly chaotic.
The result is an experiment combining set elements with spontaneity, improvisation and humor.
Time: 3 pm
Date: Saturday, July 26, 2025
Location: Art in the Park in Hermon Park 5568 Via Marisol, Los Angeles, CA 90042 inside the historic Lawn Bowling Clubhouse.
I am demonstrating the “Ribbon Dancer” prop.
