Alexia, You were filled with so much love, which you poured out to everyone around you. It’s not fair that you didn’t have more time to touch the hearts of many more people like I know you would have.

When I first met you, it felt like I had known you my whole life, you just instantly got me, and the amazing part is that this feeling is not exclusive to me. You made everyone feel seen and welcome within one conversation with you and the amount of people grieving you now is proof of that ability.

It’s strange because today at your funeral is the only time that there is a room that you were in, that’s not filled with your contagious laughter. The same laughter that makes me laugh every time I hear it, the laughter that got us separated in class so many times, and the laughter that I’d do anything to hear again. So until we can laugh together again in heaven, I’ll find comfort in knowing that you changed my life for the better by giving me the most genuine friendship I could ever ask for.
