Very excited be showing my work at RITUAL ETERNAL at @project8.gallery , opening Friday 1st August, 6–8pm. The exhibition will run through to Sept 13th.
RITUAL ETERNAL explores ritual as a means of knowing, sensing and transmitting experience, drawing on sacred, secular, ancestral and subcultural traditions in works by Treahna Hamm, Veronika Hauer & Katie Lee, Alicia King, Tristan Liao, Laiyin, Sorcha Mackenzie, Mao Chenyu, Noriko Nakamura, Eva Richardson, Janice Stanley, Shen Lieyi, Karina Utomo and Fu Xiaodong. Curated by Cūrā8 (Kim Donaldson and Sean Lowry)
I’ll be presenting a series of etchings, incipiently informed by a collection of unidentified architectural church plans by Clark John James (1857), which I encountered during the Rick Amor Fellowship at the @library_vic , with @baldessinstudio . My new series uses the visual language of architectural schematics to explore the supernatural sublime through printmaking. 👹
