🐇🌹 Down the Rabbit Hole We Go. A table design inspired by Alice in Wonderland There’s a curious magic in watching a story tumble off the page and land right on the table. 🐇✨ For this special collaboration, a group of close friends and I each selected the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to bring to life through tablescapes and a book review. Each layout captures the mad tea parties, curious keys, painted roses, and topsy-turvy wonder that linger in our minds long after the story ends. I chose the Queen of Hearts for her drama and her rose garden. My black velvet cloth and harlequin runner became her royal court, with red roses for painting the roses red, plus brass keys, playing cards, and vintage teacups from my cabinet. And my flatware from @annovame and @annova_es “We’re all mad here.” Be sure to explore the wonderful creations of my friends linked below to discover the details of the book that inspired their whimsical displays. You are going to adore the curiosity and imagination each of them brought to this event! 🎩🐇💌 Alma @almademesa_ Maria @mesas.connombre Sharon and  Leanne @thesistersnarrative Raul @rfnandezmesas Valeria @valeriafuentesoppliger Terry @thats2cutedesignllc Elena @elenaposadanunez Poppy @poppy_sets_the_table Vicky @vickymami8482 Vickie @myhappytables Vivi @estilistadefiestas_chile Vero @bajo.mis.alas Carolina @lulumaisonny Yaya @yayagrz Yve @yslisa1111 Rosalind @rosalindthomson Sony @sonygomez31 Debbie @boldernotolder Mireya @a_bit_of_cottage_charm Stella @gardentable25 (HOST)
Nigerians Are Better Today Under Tinubu Than They Have Ever Been— APC Spokesman Felix Muoka The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Muoka, has expressed confidence that the party will win the 2027 presidential election, insisting that Nigerians are better off under President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Muoka defended the government’s economic policies, arguing that the reforms had given Nigeria an opportunity to recover and achieve sustainable prosperity. “Qualitatively speaking, our country is better. Nigerians are better today than they have ever been. Is there a country that has transited from this depressed economy, like we have had for decades, to that level of prosperity that didn’t go through these stages?” he said. He added that Tinubu’s policies had given the country “a fighting chance, not just at recovery, but at building the prospects for sustainable prosperity.” On the APC’s preparations for the 2027 elections, Muoka said the party was working to secure voters’ support and would not take Nigerians’ votes for granted. He cited the party’s victories in elections since 2023 as evidence of its preparation and electoral strength, insisting that Nigerians had continued to vote for the APC. “We are a party for a reason. We are in this to compete with other political parties and to win the support of Nigerians,” he said. Muoka also maintained that the APC had taken its campaign preparations seriously and was determined to secure as many votes as possible in the next general election. “We will win the election. We are working hard to win the election. I think that Nigerians are going to stand tall, shoulder to shoulder with the APC to win the next election,” he added.
Lees verder ⬇️
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commander Admiral Brad Cooper has issued an update on operations against Iran. Adm. Cooper says the U.S. naval blockade has denied Iran at least $25 billion in oil revenue and that, apart from humanitarian assistance, Iran has no imports or exports by sea. He says about 400 ships have transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past seven days, and that U.S. forces have helped Gulf partners ship more than 100 million barrels of oil. Cooper also said U.S. efforts have helped freeze about $350 million in Iranian cryptocurrency, and that more than 20 civilian mariners have been killed by Iranian attacks on shipping since February. The update comes as Iran continues to target vessels. Windward counted at least 23 attacks on commercial ships in and around the strait in the two weeks ending October 14, and Iran claims control of the area.
