Richard Fisher

So fantastically organised event by @andyrobertsbjj and team @surreyopen today...timing brilliant, fabulous event...not the result I hoped for in my first event at blue belt.

Two top guys in the bracket @jimmiepikejnr who bowled over and introduced himself at weigh in, along with his lovely family and @lukeedwards78, top man.

Picture 1 is moment I lost first match...managed to get into mount and didn't consolidate and Luke immediately rolled me off..then scored twice in last minute for the win..hats off.

Picture 2 me and Jimmie tussling for a long old time shot a few doubles but he sprawled was fortunate to escape his darce..last 45 seconds he passed my guard...pretty sure at that point we'd both cheerfully have gone for a beer!!!

Both tough strong characters!

Great day and good to see some old acquaintances in @murd0ck2023 and a few others.

Thanks to those who got me here @andyrobertsbjj for the training and understanding and @dixiethedean for the time, help and belief, along with @heaneybjj for Friday extras...professor @countryboyjiujitsu Matt Whyton..the rolls are helping and @rafaelsaponatal (the darce escape works)..@mykonos_bjj I'm still hooked
