We’ve started drinking water with salt just to silence the hunger, because there’s no food—no bite to keep our bodies going. Our stomachs are empty, and our eyes are full of tears. We’re tired of the pain, the hunger, and the endless days filled with nothing but suffering.
Please, we are human just like everyone else—we just haven’t found anyone to show us mercy.

Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all - And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard - And sore must be the storm - That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm - I’ve heard it in the chillest land - And on the strangest Sea - Yet - never - in Extremity, It asked a crumb - of me.
