Its CHORUS LINE DAY!!!!!!! 🎩✨
Happy 50th Anniversary to this beautiful show!! To have been even a microscopic part of Michael Bennett’s incredible legacy means so much to me it’s really hard to put into words. This show is dedicated to anyone who has danced in a chorus anywhere…ever! It reminds us that every one of us is special and has something unique to offer. As dancers we can be so unbelievably hard on ourselves - constantly striving for perfection, battling injuries, working ourselves to the bone and feeling unseen all the while. But this show is a constant reminder to me that what we do we do for love, and it’s NOT just another job. We do this because it’s what we were born to do. I can relate to every single character in this show in one way or another. They all have something important to teach and there’s so much wisdom that can be gained from their stories.
IN OTHER NEWS: I’m BACK on the road for another year with Book Of Mormon!!!! (Back to my same tracking and everything! Woo!) We just finished our tech rehearsals up in Yakima, WA and now we’re on our way to Victoria, British Columbia to open Season 4!! Very excited and grateful to be working again but also heartbroken to be missing @achorusline50 with everyone this Sunday at the Shubert Theatre! It’s bittersweet but I really am so lucky to be a part of the ACL family AND the BOM family! They really are “the gifts that keep on giving”
Endlessly thankful to @baayork and @jenwernercannizzaro for bringing these two amazing shows into my life!! Kiss today goodbye, and mahanaibu eebowai!
