Vessel | @bethkholroyde

“Vessel was conducted as an exploration into the body’s role as a physical transporter. Approaching third year and looking back on my progress, I was promoted to think more about the body’s physical role in life and growth. I came to the realisation that without this shell to house and carry my soul, it would have no outlet or purpose. The body is the only constant we have in life, we take it with us everywhere - or rather, it takes us. Overcome with an immense sense of gratitude for my body I wanted to use this project to show my appreciation for its role in my life. I chose to do this by combining self portraiture and sculptures within my images, I did this to communicate the physicality in which the body transports the soul through life.” - Beth Holroyde
