Peace, Love, and Power Theatre Collective

Get to know the founder of PLP, @kamaunosakhere 🌟:

Hey, I’m Kamau Nosakhere (any pronouns), a Florida-born, Barbadian, New York-based actor and writer. I recently graduated from Fordham University with a double major in Theatre and English. As a writer, I aim to tell stories that manifest a dreamlike version of the world in which we live. My works are a communal offering to the audience; they work to subvert and reimagine the audience’s shared reality by creating safe, attainable utopias. As a Black, genderqueer artist, I center the experiences of people of marginalized backgrounds and tells their stories through my words.

I created PLP because I have decided to stop waiting for places and opportunities to open up that want to tell my stories, and instead make that space myself. Peace, Love, and Power is our first step in building a theatre community of creatives driven by joy. 🌗
