🇧🇫 In June 2026, Burkina Faso suspended beauty pageants while preparing new rules. A science competition could now help shape what comes next. On 6 October, Culture Minister Gilbert Ouédraogo cited HAKILI Mousso as a model for a revised format of Miss Université Burkina. Held in September, the science competition brought together 84 young women for tests in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Study scholarships were announced for all finalists. The proposed pageant reforms would also highlight local fabrics, African braids and regional cultural traditions. The new format is still being developed. What should a modern beauty pageant celebrate?

Winning is cool, but making memories is far more valuable. I won my first national show two years ago today, and the moment my name got called, all I could think about was how returning home with the trophy would make my grandma feel, since her precious time on earth was limited at that point. It was never about a trophy, but on a much deeper level, more about making those around you proud. This prep has been more challenging than recent ones in finding my "why" between shows and partially that may be because of her absence. Titles don't mean close to anything when you don't have loved ones to share those victories with. Seeing these pictures this morning in my gallery reminded me of why I've never stopped continuously moving forward. Cherish your loved ones and keep pushing. Much love - #bodybuilding #familyfirst

🚨stop telling them to “STOP TATTLING!” 😩 Teach them what to do INSTEAD! 👇 Before coming to tattle, I trained my kindergarteners to STOP and ask themselves 3 questions: 1️⃣ Is someone HURT? 🤕 2️⃣ Is someone UNSAFE? 🚨 3️⃣ Is this an EMERGENCY? 🆘 If the answer was NO to all three, it was PROBLEM-SOLVER TIME! 🧠✨ Instead of dismissing them, I’d redirect with phrases like “You’re safe! Try a solution!” or “I can’t WAIT to see you solve this with your words!” But here’s where the MAGIC happens! 🎶 My No Tattling Song became an auditory cue that reinforced these expectations WITHOUT me having to repeat myself 100 times a day! Because the goal isn’t to SILENCE children. It’s to EQUIP them with the words, confidence, self-control, and problem-solving skills to handle little problems independently! 🙌 And TEACHER, you don’t have to spend your entire day feeling annoyed, overwhelmed, or BURNT OUT from correcting the SAME behaviors over and over! 😭 That’s why I created songs for EVERY classroom tension point! Instead of constantly managing behaviors with your voice, you have an actual SYSTEM in place. You hit PLAY, the music reinforces the expectations and creates the CULTURE and values you want to see without you saying a single word… and get back to doing what you LOVE: TEACHING! 🎶✨ Comment “SONGS” and I’ll send you my classroom management songs so you can stop repeating yourself and start teaching with JOY! 💛👇I promise there’s a better way! And you just found it! -Cindy xx
