When a young family bought this house in SF Bay Area, they approached us because the kitchen was dark, cramped, and felt separated from the rest of the home.
We widened the opening between the kitchen and dining room to create a brighter and more spacious feel. This simple but impactful move also allowed a direct visual connection between the kitchen and where the kids spent much of their time. A large pantry cabinet on the left provided tons of organized storage space.
