Angela Peacock, MSW, CPC is a U.S. Army veteran, psychiatric drug withdrawal consultant, and healing coach. After surviving overmedication and polypharmacy following her military service, she now educates individuals, families, and organizations on harm reduction and safe deprescribing of psychiatric medications. Her story is featured in the award-winning documentary Medicating Normal (2020), which explores the risks of long-term psychiatric drug use and the challenges of deprescribing.
Angela’s advocacy has included serving as a Legislative Policy Fellow for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Military Veteran Liaison for the Benzodiazepine Information Coalition, team member at The Withdrawal Project, and Social Impact and Outreach for Medicating Normal. In 2022, she founded APeacock Consulting, where she supports clients and their families through coaching, consulting, and support. She was tra
ditionally trained as a trauma therapist but declined licensure to work with individuals and families who are deprescribing.
