A final painting ahead of Drawn to the Valley next weekend - a lean into gold and the celtic but born from an idea that has been hanging in the back of my mind for a while.

I wanted to play with an axe head type shape but incorporate some knotwork and a few hints of Book of Kells spirals.

In future this may be the basis for something more complex, but for now it is ready for the Open Studios exhibition.
