Soaring Together: Helping Grieving Siblings Heal Through Faith, Art, and Hope
When a child loses a sibling, their world changes forever. At Red Bird Ministries, we know that children grieve differently—and that they need a space to process their loss in gentle, creative, and faith-rooted ways.
Soaring Together is a Catholic-based initiative that offers compassionate support for children and teens grieving the death of a sibling. Through expressive art, storytelling, Scripture-based activities, and peer connection, participants are guided to:

➡️ Honor their sibling’s memory
➡️ Discover hope in God’s promise of eternal life
At the heart of Soaring Together is Jessica Wilfore, MS-Ed, CCLS, a Certified Child Life Specialist and bereaved mother herself. After the heartbreaking death of her son Hudson in 2023, Jessica brings both clinical insight and personal compassion to every session—supporting families with developmentally appropriate tools and a deeply faith-filled heart.
The children’s artwork, including hand-drawn pieces, mixed media, and even AI-assisted creations inspired by their memories and reflections, becomes a sacred expression of their journey toward healing.
