This birthday was more melancholy than others because I saw the troops on my block with someone being detained. I had no desire to celebrate but I wanted to spend today reflecting. One day these books may not be available and while it is heartbreaking it also fuels my will to make a plan as we are in stage 1 of our modern day civil war.

So while I recognize the blessing of having the gift of another year, today was not for revelry but it’s time to plan for the inevitable.
