Last night although we were enclosed, the temps were still frigid and all I could think about were the youth who were without housing every single day. It’s unacceptable in one of richest countries in the world that there youth who are unhoused. The battle to end youth homelessness continues and I challenge all to donate and raise awareness about this problem.

This birthday was more melancholy than others because I saw the troops on my block with someone being detained. I had no desire to celebrate but I wanted to spend today reflecting. One day these books may not be available and while it is heartbreaking it also fuels my will to make a plan as we are in stage 1 of our modern day civil war.

So while I recognize the blessing of having the gift of another year, today was not for revelry but it’s time to plan for the inevitable.

My sister @quashies_quest told me that I can do hard things and today was no exception. This was the last exercise of the series- it was my very own 4th Quarter. I just completed 48 flips of that very tire and completed the walk two times before recording. My arms were sore and my fingers were throbbing.

Everything in me said there’s no way I could finish. I even told my coach there’s no way I could complete the exercise. However, he didn’t let me give up on myself. When I finally dropped it for the last time, I was relieved but I also saw first hand that I can truly overcome any obstacle.

Wow… looking at this pic simply proves to me that all things are possible. A year ago my helmet and pads were home in a bag. I was placed on IR with a protruding disc in my lower spine. I had no idea when or if I would return to the field. A year ago, I could barely jog without lower back pain. The rehab journey was not easy but I did it.

BIG THANKS TO THE BEST SPORTS MEDICAL TEAM IN THE DMV @solutionsphysicaltherapy and @powherchiro ❤️I will never forget to engage my core again!!

Having the opportunity to pad up and return to the field stronger is amazing. Being part of @dcdivasfootball has literally changed my life. Never in my wildest dreams did I see myself as a pro football player and now football is my 24/7. This is only the beginning so stay tuned as there is so much more coming. This season is dedicated to myself in proving to ME that I indeed can do hard things and have always had it in me.

Thanks to my sisters @quashies_quest and @sweetslegacy22 who kept me motivated every step of the way🫶🏾🫂
