a year agoYou’re a man of God brother. Praying for your strength to continue as well as your mom’s. 🙏🏼
a year agoPrayers! Sorry I didn’t know or I would have been sending them sooner. I’m so happy to know she’s better and in great hands.
a year agoGio and Gayle 💜🙏💜 Thank God for you, Gio! You’re such an amazing caregiver and human! I see your mom in so much light and health and I’m holding onto that. Sending lots of love and healing to you both! 🫶
a year agoContinued… We are also acutely aware that mom has a lot going on still. In the hospital they only help you with the issues you came in with, the moment there are signs of you getting better they are immediately ready to discharge you. I’m grateful for this experience, this is probably the best hospital experience we’ve had, yet the protocol that they go by is so crazy and needs major reform. Almost all of the nurses were incredible with her, but with one of the male nurses one day he ended up severely hurting her ribs on the right side, because he decided to do what he wanted to do rather than listen to me when I’ve been her caregiver for 6 years now and I know how to move her. Anyway, despite all the craziness and so much going on throughout the last week and a half, we anchored our intentions firmly in our desired outcome of seeing mom well and at least back to where she was before she came out of the hospital or even better. When she first entered the hospital it looked like she was getting ready to die, so as much as we held our pure intention, we were/are also surrendered to God and knowing that whatever Gods will is for her, we will ultimately have to accept that outcome. She has been through A LOT the last 6 years, and this past year alone has been nothing short of extremely challenging to say the least. There are days she expresses how tired she is with the pain and symptoms she’s had to endure, and doesn’t feel like going on much longer. We know every single day is a gift from God, so no matter how long she has left, we will do our best to enjoy each day we have together. Everyday has been a major blessing, because I’ve already had 6 more years with my mom, when we originally thought she was going to pass back in 2019. So thank you God for the miracles we’ve already received and no matter what comes next, I am grateful for all that has been given. Even if just one more day… that is also a blessing. 🙏💜
