We’re happy to announce that we’re renting out our lovely second home! Our small year-round cottage near Aegviidu is looking for a tenant for the winter season. The house is located in the middle of nature, right next to the Kõrvemaa hiking trails and lit cross-country skiing tracks, while still being only a 30-minute drive from Tallinn. 🌲
The house has everything you need for living – high-speed internet via fiber optics, a work chair and desk suitable for remote work, a TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, stove, and countertop. The house is heated by a remotely controlled, energy-efficient air source heat pump, and the bathroom has underfloor heating. The 29m² house has two bedrooms (one is small – a child’s room), a living room, and a loft. It’s a cozy space for one or two people, but we’ve also managed just fine there with kids. Surrounding the house is a large terrace, perfect for eating, relaxing, or grilling on nice days. The house faces south in such a way that during the darker autumn days, any available sunshine will shine right into the house.
The 2-hectare plot borders the beautiful Soodla River – the cleanest river in Northern Estonia. On the riverbank, there’s a private small sandy beach, and it’s possible to rent a sauna trailer (€150 per weekend, delivery included). For children, the property has a sandbox, trampoline, and mud kitchen. There’s also a lockable shed available.
I personally think of this house as a “writer’s cabin” – a perfect retreat from city life, ideal for drawing inspiration from nature and focusing on bringing important ideas to life. But of course, it can be used in many other ways too.
