Life has thrown me a few punches, and I’ve been trying to process this.

A few weeks ago, I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and was rushed in for emergency surgery. Doctors removed 6” of my colon and part of my small intestine due a perforated bowel. I then had to spend the next few weeks recovering from post-surgical complications including infection, a high-grade fever, a battery of of invasive tests, and extreme pain. After 5 CAT scans, 4 x-rays, and an ultrasound, I was cleared to continue recovery at home.

While I am so grateful to be home, a newly-implanted colostomy bag and wound vacuum have proven to be quite the challenge. While I do have the help of an in-home nurse and friends and family to help me get by, my bills are ever-growing. I have never been the type to ask for a handout, but if you would consider donating to my GOFUNDME, it would mean the world to me. Any and everything is a blessing.
