Heritage Bluffs in Channahon, Illinois
Played on a Monday a couple weeks back. We decided to walk. I usually don’t complain about walking but damn, this place was an extreme workout 😂 the rolling terrains + the distances from greens to tee boxes added some toughness. will be using a cart next time.
This place could easily be one of my favorites on the south side, but the conditions were really needing some help.

Hole 1 and 9 are wide open along with a few others but most of the holes require a well placed drive to score. With the heat we had this summer and the fact that it's a public course you're a bit critical with your condition rating. All courses suffered this summer.

Trying to read any green around Illinois right now is crazy. With a severe drought we've been having they can't keep up or poor chemicals or do any of the normal stuff to make the grass bounce back

Would play half dozen times a year. Always loved it. Place has gone done hill BIG time. Played last year only once. Golf cart restrictions makes the course completely unplayable. Why are old grumpy men in charge? City commissioner must not golfer. Yes bar improvements well done. I always got 18 being no cart. No thanks. So many better courses with sooo much better customer service. @heritagebluffspublicgolfclub

Come back next year doing a complete overhaul of all the bunkers starting in the fall.

My home course. Young kids also welcome which is a big plus. 9 holes with the kids at twilight is $12 for adult and kids free 🤙🏻
