On 4/20/2020 (first clip) I soberly experienced the peace the game of golf had to offer. Growing up, my dad had been golfing for sometime, but I never got into it then…most likely because it didn’t get the girls. What an idiot. During Covid, I remember my dad had an extra spot one day and with no expectations I just went out there. I really don’t know how to say this without sounding like a cornball, but if you really pay attention, golf will teach you a lot about yourself and about life in general. The amount of parallels between golf and life is actually insane. Aside from the game itself, golf has become the backdrop where I’ve been able to get closer to friends and family. So here’s a look at the moments from Covid all the way to now, that made golf so much more than a game. Also, I don’t really know where this whole golf page or journey is going, tbh there’s really no plan. Been laying low on this for a minute now, but it’s time. Tbh I’ve always been afraid of putting myself out there with the fear of falling flat on my face. I was chatting with an old high school friend and he had put it perfectly, “those who matter don’t mind and those who mind don’t matter.” The people that rock with you no matter what are going to be there for you, everyone else can kick actual rocks. When the opportunity to partner with my pops and my godfather came about I asked myself, “If I don’t shoot my shot now, when am I ever going to?” I’m very aware that it’s not always gonna be sweet, so I’m looking forward to the good and the bad lool.
