Vases hiding in the ferns. These are a couple of vases fired in Noah Hughey Commers anagama kiln in May of 2024. A four day firing workshop with Ken Matsuzaki.
I kneaded some granite chips from a local quarry into the clay that give them the pock marks and white spots of feldspar.
They are beautiful inside holding flowers, but almost better outside with the ferns.

I would like to add that these photos of pots in the ferns and on stumps were taken by my son, Noah, a photographer and musician who lives and works in Germany.
