Our recent visit to Pangani FM stakeholders revealed an important observation: 40% of regular listeners report having changed their behavior or attitudes toward gender roles.
Across five districts of the Tanga region, listeners consistently credit Pangani FM as their trusted platform for addressing harmful social norms and attitudes. The station provides communities with space to engage in open dialogue and to raise issues that are often left unspoken, particularly those that contribute to negative behaviors and attitudes around gender.
By amplifying voices and connecting grassroots women’s initiatives, Pangani FM continues to play a vital role in advancing gender equality.
