I know I’m a week late but without further ado… Steal Away World Premiere at TIFF 50
Honestly what a day; from waking up early and going all the way to Scarborough for a haircut - coming back and knocking out for 2 hours. To tryna squeeze in a back and biceps workout AND an audition for the first role I’ve ever had to sign an NDA for 😂. To literally getting dressed for the premiere in 5 minutes because I was LATE and everyone was downstairs waiting for me😭…it was a hectic day.
But it was all worth it. The year wait, the anxiety, the stressful day, the hypercriticism of my performance - it’s hard to describe how fulfilling this whole process has been. Especially now understanding how much of a miracle it is just to be able to get a film funded and developed in this day and age.
It was an absolute honour to be a part of such an amazing film directed by the visionary Clement Virgo. An absolute privilege to work alongside @mallorixjohnson @angourierice @leelaurensmith and the rest of the amazing cast I got to get to know, create with and learn from.
S/o to the crew that is was the literal magic behind the film that made all this possible. It was truly and honour and a life changing experience to shoot this film with you all in the beauty of Belgium.
P.S. omg I got to take pics with fans and sign autographs 😭 someone even printed out a headshot of me to sign 🥹🥹😭😭
Thank you God for everything - I owe it all to you.
