I had the honor of returning to my alma mater, Tennessee State University, to speak with students who are preparing to graduate and step into the next chapter of their lives. Standing before them as an alum was a full-circle moment, because TSU truly changed my life.

This university poured into me in ways that shaped not only my career but also the person I am today. The lessons, mentorship, and community I received here gave me the foundation to soar, and for that I am forever grateful.

It has become my mission to pour back into the next generation, just as TSU poured into me. If even one word I shared can inspire or encourage someone to keep pushing forward, then I know I am honoring the legacy of this great institution.
