WE SWAPPIN HIGH VIS FOR POLOS!!! A couple weeks ago I received a promotion from the company I’ve been with for the last 10 months. As many of you know, I was fired rather unexpectedly from my last job where I was working sales. I was devastated to the point where I briefly thought about packing up and moving back to PA. But before I could do that, one of my best friends here put in a good word for me at this company and a couple weeks later, I was hired to work in the warehouse (shoutout Matt).

At 31, the last thing I wanted to do was start over with a company in a warehouse position, especially after taking a significant pay cut. But my buddy assured me that if I work hard and just be myself, that this company would see my true value and allow me to work my way up. So as I always do, I put my 100% integrity into my job and the hard work paid off.

This week I started my new position as Front Counter Sales Associate and I can’t express how truly grateful and excited I am for this opportunity. Starting tonight I’ll be taking HVAC classes (paid for by my company) to further my knowledge in the industry. And the best part is, this is only my first step forward. Since my time with this company I’ve seen several people move from front counter to being account managers and lead salesmen. In other words… the grind is only beginning. 💪

Moral of the story… don’t let others dictate YOUR value. Be confident in who you are and what you have to offer. Unfortunately in life, not everyone is going to see your true value and that’s ok. Easier said than done, but you’re better off without those people anyways. Keep being you and naturally you will attract what’s meant for you.

And most importantly NEVER give up 😤
