Cheers to 27 years of being a burn survivor 🍾🐦‍🔥🔥 by @fenxmusic94

Exactly 6 months ago today, my life changed forever. 6 months ago today, my brotha from anotha motha and his amazing wife welcomed this beautiful child into the world and gave me the honor of being his godfather. I knew this little guy was going to mean the world to me, but what I didn’t know until I met him was just how much of an impact having a godson would have on me. Seeing my mom hold a baby for the first time since I was a kid nearly brought tears to my eyes. And since then, I’ve had this newfound purpose and motivation in life. As soon as I hopped on the plane home, I promised myself that I’d do everything in my power to make him proud. I think about you everyday and I can’t wait to see you when I come back to visit next month. I love you so much August, happy half birthday 🎉 🥰🫶 by @fenxmusic94

I’ll never forget the day I was introduced to Lionel Messi. It was May 17th, 2006, Barcelona was playing in the champions league final. My stepfather pointed to this man and said, “he’s not the best player yet, but one day he will be”. And boy was he not wrong… ever since that day he accomplished everything there is to accomplish in soccer, but most importantly… he became my childhood hero. His story is truly inspiring, from when he was just a little boy with a growth impairment, to the adversities he faced as a professional, Messi is the definition of “never give up, never surrender”. Exactly why I I’m repping the first Messi jersey I ever got 20 years ago, his first World Cup jersey 🇦🇷

And so today’s the day… the last dance, el ultimo tango… it all comes down to this. One more final, one last time to see Messi represent Argentina in the World Cup. It’s honestly so bitter sweet. But no matter what happens today, I just wanna thank this man and this team for everything. Through the heart break, to the triumphs, and all the lessons learned in between, I can’t ever express how lucky I feel to be Argentinian and for the experiences along the way. Win or lose… I’ll be crying the most happiest of tears today 🥺

one last time… VAMOS ARGENTINA CARAJOOOO 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷 by @fenxmusic94

26! The phoenix in me has aged another year... Today we celebrate 26 years of being a burn survivor!!! In years past I’ve left town and done something extravagant to celebrate, but this year we’re celebrating by staying home and doing the things we love… playing soccer and watching football! Despite my Eagles losing today, I’m still winning!!! I’ve got an amazing family, the best friends, a great job, and most importantly… I AM ALIVE! And not only that, but I feel alive. I’m feeling the best I’ve felt in a while and I’m so grateful for that. Creating the game winning goal in my soccer game definitely helps 😅 but I’m truly in such a great place right now and October 5th is a great day to feel that way. Cheers… to life! 🐦‍🔥🐦‍🔥🐦‍🔥

WE SWAPPIN HIGH VIS FOR POLOS!!! A couple weeks ago I received a promotion from the company I’ve been with for the last 10 months. As many of you know, I was fired rather unexpectedly from my last job where I was working sales. I was devastated to the point where I briefly thought about packing up and moving back to PA. But before I could do that, one of my best friends here put in a good word for me at this company and a couple weeks later, I was hired to work in the warehouse (shoutout Matt).

At 31, the last thing I wanted to do was start over with a company in a warehouse position, especially after taking a significant pay cut. But my buddy assured me that if I work hard and just be myself, that this company would see my true value and allow me to work my way up. So as I always do, I put my 100% integrity into my job and the hard work paid off.

This week I started my new position as Front Counter Sales Associate and I can’t express how truly grateful and excited I am for this opportunity. Starting tonight I’ll be taking HVAC classes (paid for by my company) to further my knowledge in the industry. And the best part is, this is only my first step forward. Since my time with this company I’ve seen several people move from front counter to being account managers and lead salesmen. In other words… the grind is only beginning. 💪

Moral of the story… don’t let others dictate YOUR value. Be confident in who you are and what you have to offer. Unfortunately in life, not everyone is going to see your true value and that’s ok. Easier said than done, but you’re better off without those people anyways. Keep being you and naturally you will attract what’s meant for you.

And most importantly NEVER give up 😤 by @fenxmusic94
