ABOUT OUR POSTER ARTWORK:

Lumen approached Artist & Printmaker Des Mac Machon to create our poster and program cover. We explained the difficulties one faces when creating work in public spaces. Artists seeking to create public art frequently encounter extensive administrative requirements and complex regulations. Securing the necessary permits
and approvals can be a lengthy and exhausting process, often consuming significant time and energy. These obstacles can hinder or even halt artistic initiatives, making it challenging for artists to maintain their creative momentum. The poster image is Des’s interpretation of this process.

We hope you enjoy his work as much as we
do, check him out @desmacprints. Festival Supported by @artscouncilireland & @limerickcityandcountycouncil
