HOLANG-I / FOCUS ON: « Destiny 2 : Heroes Welcome » by @donwurun
«The Destiny 2: Heroes Welcome campaign was one of the most challenging yet rewarding projects I had the chance to work on. The main difficulty lay in developing and managing the 2D/3D pipeline under a tight deadline, as I had to both creatively direct the overall look and feel of the project while also supporting our small animation team by animating certain shots myself. The client requested a 2D hand-drawn anime style, which required extensive early look development. The real challenge was to translate this aesthetic into a 3D pipeline while preserving the expressive, hand-drawn qualities without making the result feel overly digital. My role was primarily that of creative director, but I also took part in the animation whenever needed. Balancing the artistic vision with the technical execution was demanding, yet deeply rewarding: not only did we deliver a final product that fully met the client’s expectations, but the campaign was also recognized with a Bronze Award at the AEAF Awards 2022 in the Web/Viral category, a proud achievement that highlighted the success of our approach.»
