Unfiltered & raw- On this day, October 4th, marks exactly one year since my whole world was turned upside down. Cancer, ah you really are something else aren’t you? Though some might be bewildered when I say this, going through this life-altering season (and beating it) is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. The feeling of needing to surrender, knowing it’s all in God’s hands is the most profound experience I’ve ever had. It shook my entire being. Cancer was our opponent. God and I had our armor on, ready for battle. Eyes closed, bracing myself for the ride, with Jesus as my navigator.
Throughout my whole journey, there’s one undeniable truth and it’s this- Jesus was right next to me, holding me with His powerful love & strength. People might say, well that’s your choice to believe in Him. Is that true? Well yes, most would say it is. But when Jesus has touched your heart and whispers gently to you, all will be well, there’s a level of certainty in His existence that is inexplainable, indisputable even. The type of certainty that will get you through your darkest days, and illuminate your brightest ones even more. And yes, there were some pretty dark days, but I wouldn’t change it for a thing because it brought me closer to Him in ways I could never imagine.
I share this with the hopes of opening someone’s eyes to Christ who may have never been open to experiencing His love, or to bring those who follow Christ even closer to Him. Following & loving Jesus is the best decision I have ever made, and I’m certain, that you will ever make.
A year later, the biggest truth that lives forever in my being is this- JESUS IS KING.
Yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever.
Shine your light for Him!!! ✝️✝️⭐️⭐️⭐️
