Unfiltered & raw- On this day, October 4th, marks exactly one year since my whole world was turned upside down. Cancer, ah you really are something else aren’t you? Though some might be bewildered when I say this, going through this life-altering season (and beating it) is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. The feeling of needing to surrender, knowing it’s all in God’s hands is the most profound experience I’ve ever had. It shook my entire being. Cancer was our opponent. God and I had our armor on, ready for battle. Eyes closed, bracing myself for the ride, with Jesus as my navigator.
Throughout my whole journey, there’s one undeniable truth and it’s this- Jesus was right next to me, holding me with His powerful love & strength. People might say, well that’s your choice to believe in Him. Is that true? Well yes, most would say it is. But when Jesus has touched your heart and whispers gently to you, all will be well, there’s a level of certainty in His existence that is inexplainable, indisputable even. The type of certainty that will get you through your darkest days, and illuminate your brightest ones even more. And yes, there were some pretty dark days, but I wouldn’t change it for a thing because it brought me closer to Him in ways I could never imagine.
I share this with the hopes of opening someone’s eyes to Christ who may have never been open to experiencing His love, or to bring those who follow Christ even closer to Him. Following & loving Jesus is the best decision I have ever made, and I’m certain, that you will ever make.
A year later, the biggest truth that lives forever in my being is this- JESUS IS KING.
Yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever.
Shine your light for Him!!! ✝️✝️⭐️⭐️⭐️
P.S. thank You Jesus for keeping a smile on my face throughout this whole season.

On October 4, 2024 I was admitted to Baptist hospital due to a lingering cough. After a long night of being told it’s most likely lymphoma, we would need confirmation through a PET scan to see if anything lights up as cancerous. Oh boooy did that scan light up like a Christmas tree.
I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This is one of the most curable cancers. Although I knew the journey would entail its challenges, I felt a sense of gratitude and deep reverence for the grace God had given me. My treatment would consist of chemotherapy every 2 weeks, for 6 months. I immediately knew it was time to fight.
The past months have consisted of blind faith, resilience, alchemizing my circumstances, and thanking God.
I kept letting the big man upstairs know, “I believe in miracles”. And let me tell you.. I meant that s***.
2 months into my treatment, my PET scan is not lighting up anymore…
God is GOOD. Although I will finish treatment regardless of my latest PET scan, I am a testimony to God’s strength, mercy, and goodness. Coming face to face with your mortality at such a young age makes you realize how precious life is. It’s a blessing to be facing my biggest fear head on and proving to myself how damn strong I can be with infrangible faith towards God.
I want to give deep gratitude to my army of a support system that I’ve had during this time... truly my angels. This process wouldn’t be the same without your prayers, support, and unwavering love.. you know who you are ;).
Yes, cancer still remains being a b**** and I want to be clear that I speak solely from my experience; every experience with this disease is different. With that being said, I pray God places His healing hands on all of those going through something tough whether it’s mental/physical, or simply not finding happiness in everyday. You are NOT alone, but it’s up to you and only you to rewire your brain to make life as extraordinary as it should be. That’s your responsibility, no one else’s.
Refrain from forgetting the power of prayer even when things are tough. Keep smiling & Surrender, God is on your side.
